When dealing with travel security for international travelers, selecting a secure hotel (controlled access, CCTV in guestroom corridors, fire detection, maintained fire extinguishers) and documenting the choice are a challenge due to a lack of comparable, affordable data.
Security companies usually provide on-demand assessments, requiring to schedule a specific assessment and to have a consultant travel to the place. Cost is high and deterrent for the SME as well as for a larger company. In any case, cost prevent the client from fully mainstream the approach. Few security companies provide lists that exceed 50 assessed hotels.
Solution
We send senior security consultants as mystery guests to hotels to draft security assessments that will be updated at least once per year. All assessments are uploaded to an online database covering most business destinations in Africa and the Middle East to begin with, later expanding to Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe.
Clients subscribe to the service, allowing them to view overall ratings (hotel’s ability to counter 4 major security threats) and download a number of hotel assessments with 7 sets of criteria (outdoor environment, perimeter protection, organization of security, security of public spaces, guestroom security, fire safety, cybersecurity).
With a minimum of 3 assessed hotels per business destination and comprehensive reports, our service enables clients to better fulfil their duty of care towards their business travelers. The solution includes a search engine, business intelligence and push information for the client extranet and SBT companies. The pricing structure is in accordance with the number of downloads requested. The average price per download will be EUR 400.
